KITH - Kirkland Interfaith Transitions In Housing

KITH is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been a thread in the weave of the Kirkland community for 16 years.

KITH's mission is to provide temporary and longer term housing for individuals and families threatened by homelessness in the greater Kirkland region. Presently, KITH manages a twelve-unit apartment complex and owns two four-plexes. KITH also provides case-management for its constituents and an assortment of related charitable functions serving the local community.

KITH provides a vital service toward an ever increasing need. The strength of our organization lies in the dedicated commitment of its staff, board members, volunteers and charitable donors. KITH is an ambitious organization filled with optimism and fueled by the knowledge that it is making a difference in people's lives and the quality of our community.

The Catholic Archbishop stated recently that "in the near future, we stand the risk of seeing our communities become less able to assist low income individuals and families living in poverty." KITH helps to keep that from becoming a reality. One of KITH's immediate goals is to pay off the mortgage at the 4-plex known as "Petter Court" and purchase additional permanent housing sites.

The challenge facing all of us is to help the less fortunate find temporary and permanent housing. Each of us can help, whether it be personal services, charitable giving or simply prayers. KITH appreciates and looks forward to your assistance.

Let's make the Eastside a better place to live - for everyone!

2008 Funding Needs

All 7 Hills net proceeds and donations fund KITH’s mission to provide housing and services to the Eastside’s less fortunate residents. This year a portion of your donations will help replace the aging roof and siding on KITH’s 4-plex in the Kingsgate neighborhood. Anderson Roofing (PO Box 2050 Issaquah, WA 98027-0091) has agreed to reroof the building at reduced cost; siding is next. Your tax-deductible contributions, although not required, are encouraged. The Registration form includes a Pledge form.

Thank you,

Christopher J. Fox
President, KITH Board of Directors

"KITH exemplifies the best of how our community joins together to address the problem of homelessness. Their focus is not on enabling or facilitating homelessness as a lifestyle choice, but on helping people to marshal their resources to escape homelessness. KITH makes a real difference in our neighbors' lives every day, and deserves our full and generous support."
